Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Yakima. We are a professionals and community members that focus on giving back to our local area kids. We meet weekly to learn about what is happening in the are, the issues affecting the community and the amazing works people are doing. We also do several fundraising events throughout the year. Those funds go directly back into the community to benefit kids. We host many events to help kids and the community from donating books to local schools to cleaning up local parks. We had the pleasure of welcoming Jené from The Pegasus Project as this week’s Kiwanis presenter 💙
Jené shared her incredible journey—from growing up in Moxee with a love for horses to becoming the Executive Director of Pegasus Project. Since 2003, Pegasus has grown from serving just seven riders to supporting around 50 participants each week through therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services.

As the only PATH-accredited therapeutic riding center in the Yakima and Central Washington region, their work is truly life-changing—helping individuals with physical and emotional needs experience healing, confidence, and connection through horses.

We are so grateful for Jené and her team for the compassion, dedication, and impact they bring to our community every day.
